Caroline

DENTAL HYGIENIST

Caroline Prendergast RDH

Caroline started her career as a Dental Nurse before undertaking the Dental Hygiene Diploma at University College Cork where she graduated with an Honours Diploma in 2010 and received the Henry Schein Best Clinical Examination Award. As part of the Diploma she completed additional courses such as “Infiltration and Inferior Dental Block Local Anaesthesia” and “Intra Oral and Panoramic Dental Radiography”. This allows her to provide the highest possible patient comfort while performing treatments and, in cooperation with dentists, accurately diagnose and treat all periodontal problems. Caroline is also certified in Basic Life Support (CPR/AED) from the Irish Heart Foundation and Cardiac First Response from the Red Cross. Following completion of her Diploma she worked in a periodontal practice for 2 years and is currently working full time as a Dental Hygienist. She is registered with the Irish Dental Council and is a member of the Irish Dental Hygienist Association. Continuing postgraduate education is very important to Caroline and she attends regular seminars to keep her up to date and improve her skills. She joined our practice in 2011.

Caroline has a keen interest in sport and in her free time enjoys keeping fit.
